THE STORY 25 FALL WINTER

Fall Winter 25 Basics

loading

As the chill of the wind on our cheeks reminds us that winter is finally near, we are pleased to present the 2025 FW Basics—pieces to accompany you through the cold season.

We hope they bring a sense of warmth and comfort to your everyday moments.

  • Wool I-Line Dress

A shirt dress crafted from a brushed Super 120’s worsted wool Saxony, spun from fine Australian Merino. It offers a refined woolen sheen with a supple, softly lustrous touch. Lightweight, comfortable, and warm, the fabric is produced entirely in Ichinomiya, Aichi Prefecture—from yarn dyeing to finishing.

A gently curved stand collar that softly frames the neckline, a subtle front slit, fabric-covered buttons, and oversized cuffs that envelop the hands add delicate accents. The straight I-line silhouette is complemented by bold side slits. Slip your hands into the pockets on chilly days and enjoy a light, effortless stride.

  • Wool I-Line Skirt

The front of the skirt is a clean, uninterrupted design. Slim waist darts create a three-dimensional shape, and the softly curved side pockets follow the line of the hip, giving a beautifully sculpted look. It features the elasticated back, which removes any sense of tightness. Elastic skirts can easily look bulky, but this one keeps a beautiful straight I-line by giving just the right amount of ease with the elastic, and a zipper is placed on the left side. Above it sit two neatly aligned fabric-covered buttons. The back slit adds lightness and allows easy movement.

  • Cashmere Fur Knitted Top

This pullover, made from brushed cashmere, is incredibly warm. The lustrous, fur-like surface adds elegance, and because it holds plenty of air, it feels as if you are wrapped in warm air itself. Among cashmere fibres, only those with long fibre length and high bulk were selected and spun. The piece is fully fashioned in Fukushima, then dyed and brushed in Toyama. This unique fur-like finishing differs from ordinary brushing: groundwater from the Tateyama foothills is turned into ultra-soft water ideal for dyeing, and with precise temperature and pH control, the fibres are raised with minimal damage. This brings out the material’s natural quality, creating a delicate and smooth texture.

The silhouette features relaxed armholes that taper toward the wrists, allowing a voluminous knit to look light and refined. The hem curves gently toward the back, creating a slightly longer back length that pairs easily with many bottoms—making it a true everyday essential.

  • Cashmere Fur Knitted Cardigan

A compact-length cardigan crafted from the same material as the pullover pairs effortlessly with high-waist bottoms and dresses. Its curved collar and sleeves flow from a relaxed armhole into a delicate cuff. The concealed placket allows for multiple styling moods with a simple shift of the buttons. With the airy warmth and subtle luster of cashmere fur, it stands as a singular piece that shines both indoors and out—your winter highlight.

  • Wool Short Length Coat

A baseball jacket, reinterpreted through the quiet, refined sensibility of Mame Kurogouchi and rebuilt into a classically elegant form. Its softly sculpted silhouette moves between the casual and the sensual with ease. The fabric is a wool coating made from Super 160’s Australian Merino woolen yarns, finished in a delicate charme-beaver texture. Spun from exceptionally fine fibres, the material holds a cashmere-like smoothness—supple, warm, and luminous. Through time-honoured fulling and brushing, its innate depth and gentle sheen are carefully awakened. Every process, from spinning to finishing, is carried out in Ichinomiya, Aichi.

Darts at the neckline trace a quiet architecture around the neck. Sleeves with natural volume taper gracefully toward the cuffs, while tucks at the hem lend fullness to the back, creating a subtle sense of movement. Concealed snap buttons keep the front clean and composed, and zippered pockets offer reassurance—protecting a glove or small belonging from slipping away.

  • Wool Middle Length Collarless Coat

A mid-length coat shaped in a gentle box silhouette, its softly curved neckline embracing the body with the quiet elegance unique to Mame Kurogouchi.

Though collarless, the neckline rises subtly to trace the line of the neck, creating a delicate frame—beautiful whether worn alone or paired with a turtleneck. The deep armhole flows into voluminous sleeves that taper gracefully toward the cuffs, giving lightness and balance without any sense of heaviness. I had always preferred coats that were either long or short, but once I slipped into this one, I was instantly won over by the harmony of a middle length. Perfect for cycling, ideal when driving—before I knew it, it became the coat I reached for every morning.

As the true cold of winter approaches, may this piece from our Basics envelop you in warmth and gentle comfort.
