THE STORY 26 FALL WINTER

White Out

loading

There are moments in the mountains when everything is suddenly enveloped in white, and even the landscape before your eyes disappear from view.

In the light saturated with moisture, the mountains lose their outlines and quietly dissolve into the distance. The scenery becomes softly blurred—present before me, yet impossible to touch. As I gazed at it through a glass window, memories from my childhood would quietly return. It felt as though my younger self and my present self were gently connected beyond that white veil.

Then comes winter. A transparent world of ice and snow arrives, holding within its clarity the plants quietly waiting for spring. When my eyes meet those patches of green glimpsed through a thin layer of ice, I feel another connection being made—to the season yet to come.
Wanting to preserve these softly expanding landscapes within clothing, I explored a variety of textures through fabric. The delicate particles of early morning snow. The sound of autumn silver grass. The dance of wildflowers swaying in the wind, seen through drifting mist. Colors melting into one another, creating textures that waver like memories.

Rather than drawing clear outlines, I hope to share these unseen landscapes through my clothing to everyone.
